Fees, refunds and exemptions
Calculation of fees
- All calculations are gross and includes changes of use.
- Mixed use schemes fees should be calculated by adding the residential and non-residential fees.
- Residential includes Class C2 and C3 uses and HMOs. For Class C2 uses and HMOs the fee will be calculated on the number of bedrooms.
Making payment
- On receipt of your submission we will confirm the necessary fee. Please do not pay until we have confirmed the correct fee.
- To pay we will ask you to call the main switchboard number 01276 707100 to pay by credit or debit card. Alternatively, payment can be made via our make a payment webpage.
- You will need to send an email to development.control@surreyheath.gov.uk (link sends email) to confirm payment has been made with payment reference or forward the payment receipt.
Bespoke fees
- Bespoke fees only apply for larger developments. No standardised fees can be provided because each case and circumstance is different and the level of involvement required will change.
- Bespoke fees will typically form part of a Planning Performance Agreement.
Refunds
No refunds are given automatically and any request for a refund is considered on its own merits and must be in writing.
Exemptions
Exemptions to fees are on a case by case basis but normally limited to proposals for state schools; locally registered community bodies and charities. Written evidence must be provided to support your request.
