Validation process

How and what to submit 

  • All pre-application requests should be emailed to development.control@surreyheath.gov.uk (link sends email). On receipt you will be given a reference number and advice on payment.  
  • In order for the pre-application process to be constructive it is highly recommended that you submit scaled drawings and any other information you believe would aid assessment (for example photographs or supporting evidence/documentation). Scaled drawings should include a site location plan (1:1250), a block plan to show the boundaries of the site and floor plans and elevations (1:50, 100, 200 or 500 as appropriate).

Valid requirements

  • In the event that you submit no detail with the submission then your pre-application request will be treated as invalid.
  • The receipt of the fee and submission detail is deemed to be a valid pre-application request. 
  • Failure to provide the fee and submission detail will result in the pre-application request being invalided and the service will not provide a written response, agree to a site visit or a meeting.
