Two blue plaques will be unveiled on the Old Dean estate in Camberley on Saturday 11 November by the French Attache from the French Embassy. The plaques mark the Free French forces camp that was situated on Old Dean Common (1940 to 1944).
The Council invited the Local Government Association (LGA) to carry out the challenge earlier this year, in July 2023. The purpose of this exercise is to identify new areas for improvement including endorsing improvements the council is already working on.
The Royal British Legion Remembrance Parade with the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) and local cadet and uniformed groups is taking place on Sunday 12 November at 3pm.

The awards celebrate local coaches, participants, volunteers, organisers and everybody in between who deserve to be recognised for their sporting achievements.
RAAC has been found in Camberley Theatre. Whilst this does not present an immediate risk, further checks are being made to see if any work is needed to further preserve the life span of the building.
