Renovation of Surrey Heath park tennis courts to take place

Surrey Heath Borough Council (SHBC) and the LTA have confirmed a partnership to invest in and refurbish public park tennis courts in Surrey Heath. In total, three park tennis venues will be renovated, with investment of nearly £185,000 helping ensure that quality facilities are available for the local community.

Frimley Lodge Park Cafe is under new management

The Mayor of Surrey Heath, Cllr Helen Whitcroft and Surrey Heath Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture and Community, Cllr Rebecca Jennings-Evans visited Frimley Lodge Park café’s new management team, JSS Catering, on Friday 17 March 2023.

Local Plan update

On 14 March 2023, Surrey Heath Borough Council Executive agreed the new revised Surrey Heath Local Development Scheme for the Local Plan covering the period 2023–2026.

Refreshed service at Windle Valley Centre

We are keen to develop the offer at our Windle Valley Centre in Bagshot, and following changes within the team, from next month a refreshed service will be on offer at the centre, led by our experienced Community Services Operations Manager Aline Poulter.

Changes to Borough grass cutting from 1 April 2023

Surrey Heath Borough Council (SHBC) has been cutting Surrey County Council owned verges and grass for the past few years as part of an agency agreement. Surrey County Council has decided to take back responsibility for the maintenance of these areas in all Boroughs and Districts from 1 April 2023.

Surrey Heath's Economic Development Strategy 2023-28 and UK Shared Prosperity Fund - Supporting our businesses and high streets

SHBC’s Economic Development Strategy 2023-28 was agreed by the Executive on 14 March 2023. The strategy provides an ambitious road map for good growth and prosperity of the local economy from 2023 to 2028. It identifies opportunities for accelerated economic growth and resilience whilst, taking a proactive approach to mitigating the global, regional and local challenges impacting the Borough.
