Recently, statutory utility companies have done work on Camberley High Street and left patches of tarmac on the pavements. 

Surrey Heath Borough Council (SHBC) and the LTA have confirmed a partnership to invest in and refurbish public park tennis courts in Surrey Heath. In total, three park tennis venues will be renovated, with investment of nearly £185,000 helping ensure that quality facilities are available for the local community.

On 14 March 2023, Surrey Heath Borough Council Executive agreed the new revised Surrey Heath Local Development Scheme for the Local Plan covering the period 2023–2026.

Back for its eighth year, the Great British Spring Clean and the Great British School Clean is the nation’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign and takes place from 17 March to 2 April 2023.  Last year, amazing #LitterHeroes pledged to pick nearly half a million bags of litter in the UK as part of the Great British Spring Clean 2023. 

The Fast Track Planning Service will speed up the process for people who opt for this service, providing applicants with a decision in just five weeks, compared with the standard eight weeks. This additional paid-for service will be offered to applicants when they first submit their planning application for determination.

SHBC’s Economic Development Strategy 2023-28 was agreed by the Executive on 14 March 2023. The strategy provides an ambitious road map for good growth and prosperity of the local economy from 2023 to 2028. It identifies opportunities for accelerated economic growth and resilience whilst, taking a proactive approach to mitigating the global, regional and local challenges impacting the Borough.
