The winning design for the new playground at Albert Road, Bagshot has been chosen.

After a public vote on a shortlist of five potential designs, the winner was the Wicksteed design. The fantastic new play area will feature a young explorers multi-play unit, swings, a sensory totem and play panel, an exciting new wooden trim trail and picnic bench.

Work on the new playground is due to start in March 2024.

Surrey Heath Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, Cllr John Skipper said: "It's absolutely right that local people have had the chance to choose the design they would like for the new playground in Bagshot.

“Providing high quality play equipment for our young people is a priority for us as it links to our aims of improving the local environment, and promoting healthier communities.

“I look forward to the new equipment being installed so local children can enjoy using this improved facility."

This project has been allocated £13,500 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
