Following a motion passed with unanimous support, Surrey Heath Borough Council has published its letter from Leader Cllr Shaun Macdonald to Thames Water pressing them to honour their commitment to make a meaningful financial contribution to a community project in the local area.
This followed Thames Water importing sewage sludge into their Camberley Sewage Treatment Works, and holding it in open tanks during one of the hottest summers on record, causing a foul smell which affected the local community.
