Surrey Heath Borough Council is pleased to announce that Poundland’s Camberley store (leased by Pepco), currently in The Square shopping centre is relocating to larger premises, into the former Wilko store at 6/10 Princess Way and has agreed a five-year lease with the Council.

Councillor Kel Finan-Cooke, Portfolio Holder for Economic and Income Development, Surrey Heath Borough Council said;

“Poundland’s expansion is great news for Camberley and demonstrates the retailer’s commitment and confidence trading in the town centre.

This move to the larger premises enables Poundland to bring its best offer to Camberley such as new clothing and homewares and it will be undertaking a full re-fit of the store in the coming months.  We look forward to seeing the new larger, modern store very soon.”

A spokesperson from Poundland said

 “We’re delighted to be able to relocate in Camberley to a bigger and better location and bring new life into another former Wilko store.  Over the months ahead we’ll work hard to create a store that shoppers in Camberley can be proud of.”

This news follows the success of Surrey Heath Borough Council securing new businesses into premises on Princess Way earlier this year, including B&M, Everest World Foods and Franks Doggs.
