On 14 March 2023, Surrey Heath Borough Council Executive agreed the new revised Surrey Heath Local Development Scheme for the Local Plan covering the period 2023–2026.
A new timetable has also been agreed and published on our website. This can be viewed on the Local Development Scheme webpage.
The original timetable for the preparation of the Local Plan was delayed in late 2022 following the Government's publication of proposed changes to national planning policy.
The revised timetable means the next stage of the process, Publication of a Pre-Submission Local Plan (Regulation 19), is due to take place between November 2023 and January 2024.
