Household Support Fund
Details of the next phase of the Household Support Fund from September 2024 to March 2025 can be found below. Citizens Advice Surrey Heath (CASH) will be administering the fund for Surrey Heath residents.
The maximum award will now be £75 in supermarket vouchers.
Who can apply
In an effort to reach those who have been affected by the changes to the winter fuel allowance, CASH are currently only accepting applications from pensioner households who live in Surrey Heath and are in receipt of a means-tested benefit (e.g. Pension Credit, Housing Benefit or Council Tax reduction).
The Fund will then open to general applications on 6 January 2025 to those who are:
- living in Surrey Heath
- On means-tested benefits and
- struggling with food or fuel costs.
In the meantime, if you require emergency assistance with food or are experiencing fuel hardship (e.g. in emergency credit or with energy debt) please email support@ca-sh.org.uk (link sends email) or call 01276 417906.
Proof you need
All applicants to the Household Support Fund will need to provide the following proof to receive an award:
- ID (for example a passport or driving licence)
- Proof of address (for example a recent utility bill showing name and address)
- Recent bank statements and/or evidence of benefit awarded.
If you need help filling in the form or want to discuss your application, you can call Citizens Advice Surrey Heath on 01276 417906 and someone will call you back.
