Food banks
If you need the support of a food bank, you can get a food bank voucher from a frontline professional, for example:
- doctor
- social worker
- Citizens Advice adviser
- Frontline adviser
- our Housing, Family Support or Welfare team
- Surrey County Council’s Children’s and Adult Social Care teams
- Accent Housing and other social housing providers
- the police
Our food parcels are usually provided by:
- Camberley Besom (external website)
- Woking Food Bank (external website) (which covers Chobham, West End, Bisley). They normally need a referral
- The Bisley and West End Food Bank (external website) also covers that part of our Borough. A referral is needed to access this food bank
More information can be found on the organisations’ websites.
If you have difficulty due to disability or long term health condition in getting to your local foodbank, the Access to Food scheme run by Surrey Coalition for Disabled People (external link) may be able to support you with funding the cost of a taxi to the foodbank.
