Small Display: 1919 The Final Chapter (6 July - 21 September)

Touring display from the Friends of Aldershot Military Museum and  Rushmoor Borough Council, covering the impact of the end of the First World War in Aldershot and the local area. 

Main Display: Surrey Heath on Film (20 July-21 September)

The landscape of Surrey Heath has been used in many films from ‘Reach for the Sky’ (1956) to the more recent ‘Kingsman’ (2018) film. Discover more about our filming history in the main summer exhibition.

Main Display: Drawings by Surrey Heath Ethnic Minority Forum (24-28 September)

Small Display: Saudi Arabian Sand Roses (5 October-23 November)

Collected by a local collector, Colin Hollingworth, when he worked as an Engineer. They are a natural phenomenon occurring in in ‘subkhahs’ where the sand contains gypsum deposits which crystallise to form a rose shape. 

Main Display: The Ghost of Surrey Heath (5 October-21 December)

An exhibition featuring the mysterious and unexplained sightings in Surrey Heath. Find out about the stories of ghosts deep in the museum archives and what evidence can be collected to prove/disprove their existence.

Small Display: Christmas Past and Present (30 November-21 December)

Christmas Pastand Present: Cards, Candlelight and Crackers! A small selling display with craft ideas to create your own special gift.

Todddlers’ Craft Sessions

These sesstions take place on the last Tuesday in the month from 10.30am–12.30pm. They are drop-in craft and toy sessions for under 5s.

Autumn Half Term Big Draw event and drop-in drawing ‘life hacks’!

22-26 October, 11am-2pm

Perfect your drawing techniques with step-by-step advice on creating your own ghost. Your creation will be displayed in the ‘Ghosts of Surrey Heath’ exhibition.

‘Talking Tuesday’ Tea Room

Monthly gathering to come and chat about bygone days over a cup of tea and home-made biscuits (£1.50 contribution).

Surrey Heath Heritage Walks

All walks costs £3. Please book in advance.

Chobham Walk, 25 September, 6.30pm–8.30pm

Discover the history of one if the oldest villages Surrey Heath, the farming and military past, with local historian, Phil Stevens.

York Town Walk, 9 October, 6:00pm-7:30pm

Discover the ‘bustling past’ of York Town, long before Camberley existed. Led by local historian, Ken Clarke.
