Hedge Cutting Update

Thursday, 21 September, 2017

Please be aware that Glendale, Surrey Heath’s grounds maintenance contractors are currently undertaking hedge cutting across the borough.

In areas where the hedges have grown beyond a manageable height, the hedges are firstly cut to between six and eight feet depending on the area and circumstances. Then a separate team will complete the work with hedge cutters. There may be a delay between the two processes as the first process is quicker than the final hedge cutting. Please allow up to two days before works are fully completed, especially on larger sites.

The hedge may appear brown in places and look a little harsh when first cut but this is shortlived. They are aiming to complete the initial height reductions by the end of February 2018 and some works are already well underway.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused whilst these works are taking place.
