Personal Development Bursary
The Personal Development Bursary is available for coaches and support staff in Surrey Heath who would like to progress and gain coaching qualifications and skills to help deliver sessions. To qualify for the bursary, coaches must be working to increase participation in sport and physical activity in Surrey Heath, with particular interest from applicants working with underrepresented groups in the community. Applicants from non-traditional sports are also encouraged, with a maximum of a £250 grant awarded to successful individuals. All applicants should register their interest here.
The Community Foundation for Surrey
The Community Foundation for Surrey is an independent charitable Trust raising the level of giving and building permanent community funds. It awards grants to local community and voluntary groups who make a real difference to peoples lives and the quality of life in their communities. These grants are awarded from a growing programme of charitable funds established by individuals, families, companies and trusts who want to support local community projects in Surrey. Surrey County Playing Fields Association
Surrey County Playing Fields Association (SCPFA) encourages the provision of recreational facilities for all age groups. SCPFA offers grants and loans to sports organisations throughout the year to ensure the needs of village communities in Surrey are met. Cash4Clubs is a sports funding scheme, enabling sports clubs to apply for grants to improve facilities, gain coaching qualifications or to develop a sustainable club. Apply for Cash4Clubs Sports Grants up to £1,000.
Awards for All
Awards for All is a lottery grants programme aimed at local communities. It provides grants between £500-£5,000. It funds projects that enable people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, as well as projects that promote education and health in the community. You can contact the South East Regional Office for an application pack and more information on 01483 568764. This scheme provides grants of up to £5,000 to your club for this purpose.
Surrey Heath Sports Council
Surrey Heath Sports Council represents the opinions of local sports groups. The Borough Council grant aids the Sports Council and in turn the Sports Council grant aids local sports groups and individuals. The Sports Council is made up of volunteers appointed from a variety of community sports organisations and meets quarterly. All sports organisations actively operating or intending to operate within the Borough can apply for membership of the Sports Council. Grants of up to £250 can be awarded by the council to the following which must operate in Surrey Heath: Talented athletes, coaches, clubs and financial hardship. if you would like to apply please contact a member of the sports council for an application form.
