Surrey Heath Borough Council is delighted to announce that Cheylesmore Park in Heatherside is the first of 11 play areas in Surrey Heath that will benefit from refurbishment over the next three years.

It will include two multi-play pieces for toddlers and juniors, a trampoline and zip slide together with new swings, a see-saw, play panels and rota roka.

Ward Councillor Jonathan Lytle said: “We’re delighted that Cheylesmore Park will benefit from £40,000 of investment, funded by Planning Infrastructure Contributions. The final scheme has been agreed after consultation with children and parents from the local community and exciting changes are now being planned.”

Fellow Ward Councillor Paul Ilnicki added: “We are proud of our fantastic parks and open spaces in Surrey Heath, and keeping them updated is important to us. A new play park will encourage children to be active and will be enjoyed by future generations of our community.”

Earlier this year the Council agreed a Borough-wide playground improvement scheme that will see more areas of Surrey Heath benefit from improved play facilities.
