Camberley set to inspire - Ashwood House

Date:

Wednesday, 16 May, 2018

Works have now begun on Ashwood House on Pembroke Broadway – transforming this derelict office block into 116 high quality apartments, bringing a fresh look and regeneration into this area of Camberley town centre.

The initial preparatory works include removing the ramp outside Ashwood House and moving the bus stops and pedestrian crossing on Pembroke Broadway a short distance further down this stretch of road.  This work is being completed by Randall Contracting Ltd.  Berkeley Homes will then start work to create the apartments in the Autumn 2018. We anticipate works to complete in 2021.  SHBC are working closely with Surrey County Council to ensure pedestrian safety throughout the works and the bus service will be maintained along Pembroke Broadway.

The alleyway between The Square shopping centre entrance on Princess Way and Main Square car park is now closed whilst these works take place.

Please be aware that we may have to close one of the exits to The Main Square Car Park through the spring and summer months to accommodate the works on Ashwood House.  To ease congestion, we are asking car park users to ensure they pay for their parking before theyget back to the car.  You can pay at the kiosks or by using the Glide app.

We will post updates on our website and social media, in addition to producing signage, if we need to make any changes to the parking procedures at Main Square car park.
